Two major transport hubs under construction in Shenzhen's Nanshan District are both progressing rapidly, promising to reshape urban mobility and regional connectivity.

1. Shenzhen Metro Qianhai International Hub Center

Located in the Guiwan core area of Qianhai CBD, the Shenzhen Metro Qianhai International Hub Center spans over two million square meters of gross floor area across 20 hectares. As one of the largest transit-oriented development (TOD) projects under construction in South China, the hub has entered its interior finishing and installation phase.

The complex integrates six key functions: cross-border port facilities, high-end retail, corporate headquarters, a luxury hotel, serviced apartments, and an ecological park. It will also connect to nearby landmarks such as the Qianhai Museum and the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Square.

Key transportation features:

- Metro: Lines 1, 5, and 11
- Intercity rail: Guangzhou–Shenzhen Intercity Railway (Shenzhen Airport–Qianhai section in final stages; Qianhai–Huanggang section under construction)
- Planned link: Hong Kong–Shenzhen Western Rail Link (under planning)

The Shenzhen Airport–Qianhai section of the intercity railway has been fully structurally completed, while the Qianhai–Huanggang section, including two underground stations at the Super Headquarters Base and the Huanggang Port, is well underway. Once fully operational, travel times between Guangzhou, Dongguan, and Shenzhen will be cut to just half an hour, accelerating the "one-hour living circle" in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

2. Xili High-Speed Railway Hub

Also in Nanshan District, the Xili High-Speed Railway Hub is being accelerated in construction. Upon completion, it will become Shenzhen's largest railway station and rail transit interchange, surpassing the scale of Shenzhen North Station.

The hub will form a multi-layered network featuring:
- Four high-speed railway lines
- Two intercity rail lines
- Four metro lines

Travel times from Shenzhen to Zhongshan, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Huizhou, and the Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone will be reduced to between 20 minutes and one hour. The project is a key component of Shenzhen's "five main and five auxiliary" railway passenger hub system and is vital to the city's goal of becoming a national railway hub and strengthening its core engine role in the GBA.
