The 5th Foshan Huazhao Festival will kick off on March 22, 2025, in the Zinan Cultural Tourism Area of the Chancheng District, Foshan City, encompassing a series of captivating events that center on the traditional flower festival culture and Hanfu culture.
With a history of over 2,000 years, the Huazhao Festival, a traditional flower festival, is held in celebration of the flower goddess's birthday. During Foshan's celebration this year, the "Twelve Flower Goddesses" and "Four Men of Virtue" competitions will invite participants to showcase their talents in cosplay and performance.
A grand parade along the Zinan River will feature a hundred Hanfu enthusiasts and the "Flower Goddesses", and tourists can join traditional Chinese boat rides and enjoy the scenery.
Those who love traditional Chinese culture can enjoy tea ceremonies, Hanfu dances, and traditional music and take part in flower-arranging activities. Traditional cultural games like pot throwing and riddle guessing will also be arranged, with prizes for participants.
