The Hengqin Huafa Aquatic Centre is scheduled to begin trial operations on June 8. This state-of-the-art venue, which integrates fitness, training, and sports events, promises citizens a refreshing aquatic experience and is poised to become a hallmark of Hengqin's watersports.
With a total investment of approximately 159 million RMB, the facility spans 5,761 square meters, features a construction area of nearly 13,000 square meters, and rises to a height of 24 meters across three floors.
The main hall offers 1,709 spectator seats and houses a 25m×25m pool with depths varying from 1.1m to 6m, equipped with heating, advanced water-quality monitoring, and world-class facilities.
The main building has a boxy design reminiscent of Beijing's "Water Cube." Its sea-green color symbolizes Zhuhai's azure waters and green hills. As a multi-functional aquatic hub, it aims to provide top-notch fitness spaces and enhance urban sports development.
The centre will introduce a range of scientific, systematic, and diverse aquatic courses to meet the needs of various age and fitness groups.
