The launching ceremony of the event
Qingyuan, a popular tourist city in Guangdong province, has launched a campaign inviting visitors to "enjoy a warm winter" in the city during the 2026 Spring Festival.
The promotion was unveiled on January 18 in Changsha, the capital of Hunan province. It mainly targets tourists from Hunan and Guangxi, offering travel discounts, themed travel routes, and a wide range of cultural activities.
From January 18 to March 2026, visitors can receive tourism consumption vouchers worth up to 1,000 yuan each. The vouchers can be used for food, hotels, transport, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment.
Qingyuan also announced a new cross-regional travel route linking four cities: Qingyuan in Guangdong, Hezhou in Guangxi, and Chenzhou and Yongzhou in Hunan. The route is designed to allow tourists to enjoy "multiple destinations in one trip." Tourism authorities from the four cities signed a cooperation agreement at the event.
More than 100 events will be held, including folk culture shows, sports activities, and public cultural programs. Known as the "back garden" of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, Qingyuan is famous for its hot springs, natural scenery, and vibrant Chinese New Year atmosphere.
A special booth at the event also showcased high-quality products from across Guangdong, highlighting local craftsmanship and regional specialties.
