The 2026 South Korean Entrepreneurs Symposium in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was held recently. Kim Joungseon, Commercial Consul of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Guangzhou, Kim Seongkon, President of the China-Korea Entrepreneurs Association, and 40 representatives from S. Korean business associations and enterprises across the Greater Bay Area gathered in Zhongkai High-tech Zone to explore business opportunities and seek common development.

Across Huizhou, South Korean-invested enterprises have contributed to local economic development. To date, Huizhou has attracted 351 South Korean-funded enterprises, with South Korea remaining one of Huizhou's top five trading partners.
As one of the three China-South Korea industrial parks approved by the State Council, the China-South Korea (Huizhou) Industrial Park plays a vital role in promoting economic and trade exchanges between Huizhou and South Korea. According to statistics, the core cluster of the park generated over 100 billion yuan in industrial output value above the designated size in 2025, a year-on-year increase of more than 8%. A total of 276 land-acquired projects have been introduced, with planned total investment surpassing 200 billion yuan.
Speaking at the symposium, Kim Joungseon noted that the China-South Korea (Huizhou) Industrial Park serves as a dedicated platform for deepening bilateral investment and industrial cooperation. He said that the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources closely follows the development of the Huizhou park, adding that the Consulate General will provide full support in facilitating the entry of high-quality enterprises and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides.
