Joint interview spotlights Piraeus Port and China-Greece cooperation

On May 21 (local time), the All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) organized a joint reporting visit for Chinese and Greek journalists. More than 20 reporters from mainstream media outlets in China and Greece, including a representative from South, visited Piraeus Port in Greece for on-site reporting and thematic exchanges.

Chinese and Greek journalists hold in-depth discussions with the management team of Piraeus Port Authority.

Su Xudong, President of Piraeus Port Authority, along with other company executives and employee representatives, shared insights on topics including Piraeus Port's high-quality development, the planning for its cruise and tourism industries, green and digital transformation, and shifts in the current international shipping landscape. The briefings offered a comprehensive overview of the port's achievements and future vision as a flagship project of China-Greece cooperation.

The media delegation gained an in-depth understanding of Piraeus Port's notable achievements in recent years in operational efficiency, infrastructure upgrades, shipping and logistics coordination, and its role in driving regional economic development. Reporters also held in-depth exchanges with the port's management team on its important role in Mediterranean and European supply chains, the challenges and opportunities that changes in the international logistics landscape and rerouting around Africa have brought to European ports.

The joint reporting event further strengthened media exchanges and interaction between Chinese and Greek journalists and enhanced international understanding of Piraeus Port's high-quality development and the results of China-Greece cooperation.
