Phase 2 of 139th Canton Fair kicks off in Guangzhou with four zones debuting

On April 23, the second phase of the 139th Canton Fair kicked off in Guangzhou with four zones making their debut, including the fashion accessories zone.

Spanning a vast exhibition area of 515000 square meters with 25,000 booths, the second phase of the fair serves as a critical barometer for global consumer trends and industrial innovation.

A major highlight of this session is the debut of four specialized zones designed to meet evolving market demands: fashion accessories, bamboo and wooden tableware, bamboo and wooden home products, and integrated housing and garden facilities, reflecting a strategic shift toward niche markets and lifestyle aesthetics.

Sustainability has moved from a peripheral concept to a core competitive advantage of this year's exhibitors, rebranding "Made in China" with eco-friendly credentials.

This green transformation is most evident in the new integrated housing solutions, where modular construction and high-performance building materials are redefining the intersection between residential functionality and garden aesthetics.

Similarly, the shift toward a circular economy is showcased through innovative wood-plastic composites—crafted from timber waste and recycled plastics—which offer 100% recyclability without compromising durability.

Complementing these advancements is a new generation of biodegradable tableware made from sugarcane and bamboo pulp: these products are high-quality, sustainable alternatives to traditional single-use plastics, directly addressing the tightening global regulations on non-degradable materials.

Centered on the theme of "Quality Home Living," this stage of the prestigious trade event welcomes a massive influx of international buyers to explore the latest advancements in household goods, gifts, and building materials.

In this phase, Fortune Global 500 leaders and top 250 global retailers, including Walmart (USA), Tesco (UK), and Carrefour (France), have returned to Guangzhou to replenish their supply chains.

Furthermore, 71 overseas delegations—including the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce, the 48 Group Club (UK), and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce—are participating as organized groups.
