On December 9, the launch ceremony for the Macao International Airport's Hengqin upstream cargo terminal project was held in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. The project is expected to commence construction in the first quarter of next year.

The Macao International Airport's Hengqin upstream cargo terminal project is a logistics park jointly funded by the Macao International Airport and COSCO Shipping Logistics Supply Chain Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China COSCO Shipping Group. The two sides have already acquired 66,700 square meters of land designated for logistics use, with a planned total investment of approximately 700 million RMB for the project's construction.
