The summer fishing moratorium in the South China Sea will end on August 16, marking Zhanjiang's grand opening of the fishing season. The main venue at China Merchants International Cruise City (招商邮轮城) will host cultural performances and seafood fairs.
Celebration events will be held across three locations: Techeng Island, where visitors can experience fishermen's folk customs and a coastal night carnival; Jianghong Fishing Port, home to the iconic dawn "Sky-Light Fish Market"; and Wushi Port, the venue for the 400-year-old Centipede Dance. Thousands of boats will set sail, creating a spectacular scene.
