Fourth session of the CPPCC Guangdong Provincial Committee to be held from January 25 to 28

The fourth session of the 13th Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) is scheduled to take place from January 25 to 28 in Guangzhou, according to the preparatory office during a press conference on Monday that briefed the media on the main arrangements for the conference.

The conference will last for three and a half days. The opening ceremony will occur on the morning of January 25, and the closing ceremony will be held on the morning of January 28.

The conference will include four plenary sessions, three group discussions, and two joint discussions among members from different sectors.

The year 2026 marks the inaugural year of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030). During the conference, Guangdong CPPCC members will focus on the province's new goals and tasks for the year, according to the preparatory office.

Two interviews with the members will be held before the opening ceremony on January 25 and before the closing ceremony on January 28. Twelve Guangdong CPPCC members will meet the press to address pressing topics and public concerns.
