China–UK special education partnership established in Nansha, Guangzhou

Guangzhou Nansha Qihui Special School and the UK's Billing Brook School have signed an online agreement to establish an international sister school partnership, aiming to strengthen China–UK cooperation in special education and explore pathways for high-quality development in the field.

During the signing ceremony, both schools formalized a Memorandum of Understanding on sister school cooperation. Wang Li, Party Branch Secretary and Principal of Nansha Qihui Special School, and Nikki Kennedy, Headteacher of Billing Brook School, introduced their school philosophies, curriculum design, teacher development, and student support practices, and exchanged experiences in special education.

The two schools agreed to leverage the partnership to deepen collaboration in school management, teaching, student development, and teacher training, with the aim of expanding opportunities for students with special needs to learn and thrive.

The agreement marks a significant milestone in Nansha Qihui Special School's journey toward international engagement, and a meaningful step forward in global cooperation in special education.
