The 2025 Deqing Gonggan Carnival officially opened on the evening of November 22 at Chongde Square in Deqing County, Zhaoqing City. Over 1,400 drones illuminated the sky, drawing residents and tourists to enjoy a spectacular fusion of technology and art.
During the opening ceremony, representatives of the Gonggan growers shared their inspiring stories of dedication and hard work in cultivating the citrus. Awards, including the "Brand Enhancement Award" and "Sales Improvement Award," were presented on the occasion.
The dazzling drone show, featuring over 1,400 units, culminated the evening. The drones meticulously formed light patterns of Deqing Gonggan, the Dragon Mother Temple (龙母祖庙), and the Deqing Confucian Temple (德庆学宫), among other iconic images.
The carnival serves as a vital platform connecting production and sales. Numerous fruit farmers and buyers engaged in discussions about business opportunities in the designated production-sales matchmaking zone. Visitors flocked to the "Gonggan Delicacy Zone" to sample complimentary Gonggan pastries and juice, while other local specialties like Zhugao Fen (bamboo pole rice noodles) also attracted many who stopped to savor the flavors of Deqing.
The Deqing Gonggan Carnival runs from November 22 to 28, featuring a rich array of activities, including Gonggan production-sales matchmaking sessions, a gourmet and cultural-creative product exhibition, a pop music concert, and a consumer promotion for electronic products.
In recent years, Deqing has successfully promoted the Deqing Gonggan brand nationwide. Currently, the brand's value has soared to 10.8 billion yuan.
