Forty-four young Vietnamese delegates from government departments and universities visited the former site of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Youth League on Wenming Road in Guangzhou on August 25, as part of their visit to the city from August 24 to 28.
The historic site, over a century old, consists of two three-story buildings that once housed the headquarters of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Youth League. Ho Chi Minh came to Guangzhou in 1924 and engaged in revolutionary activities in the city from 1924 to 1927.
In 1925, he established the Vietnamese Revolutionary Youth League in Guangzhou. The site also hosted the first two political training sessions for Vietnamese youth. Figures from the Communist Party of China, including Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi and Chen Yannian, also taught at the sessions.
The delegates toured the restored site, where rooms, artifacts and other displays recreate scenes from Ho Chi Minh's activities in Guangzhou and the political training sessions held there nearly a century ago.

"Visiting this site made me feel that the relationship between Vietnam and China has been built through the sacrifices of earlier generations," Pham Thi Ha Phuong, a student at the VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities, told South.
She said she hoped more activities would be held to encourage young Vietnamese people to learn about this period of history and promote exchanges between young people from the two countries.
Bui Thi Bich Ngoc, a lecturer at the same university, said the visit deepened her understanding of the dedication of earlier generations to their people.
"As a researcher of humanities and history, I feel honored to visit the revolutionary site that I had previously learned about only from books," she said. "I am grateful to China for preserving and restoring these sites related to Vietnam's revolutionary history."
The visit was part of the Guangdong segment of the 2026 Vietnam Youth "Red Study Tour" in China. Many members of the delegation were visiting Guangdong and Guangzhou for the first time.
Although they had been in Guangzhou for only two days, several delegates said the city had already left a strong impression on them.
"Guangzhou is very modern, but it also has a very rich history," said Nguyen Thi Hang, a delegate from Nghe An Province, the birthplace of Ho Chi Minh.
"Guangzhou is a bridge for cultural and business exchanges between Vietnam and China. It has witnessed many important moments in the diplomatic and revolutionary history of Vietnam and China," Bui said.
The delegates also expressed their hopes for more exchanges between young people from the two countries.
"I hope more young people can take part in activities like this. We should also work on our language skills," Pham said.
Nguyen said the activities allowed young people to gain firsthand experience of what they had previously only learned from books.
"It is a good way to strengthen friendship between young people from the two countries," she said. "More Vietnamese young people should have the opportunity to take part (in such activities)."
