The Helan Mountain Rock Art Scenic Area in Ningxia is home to around 6,000 ancient works of rock art created by nomadic communities between 3,000 and 10,000 years ago.

Depicting hunting, herding, sacrificial rites and everyday life, these works offer a glimpse into the world of early inhabitants, with images of animals, human figures and mysterious symbols among the most prominent. Today, digital technology is also helping preserve this ancient cultural heritage for future generations.
