Art enthusiasts and cultural travelers now have a compelling reason to visit Foshan, Guangdong. The Donghua Huimei Art Museum is showcasing over 100 works by China's leading contemporary painters and calligraphers in a month-long exhibition titled "Dragon Soaring Over the Land, Splendid China."
Opened to mark the museum's first anniversary, the event features renowned artists including Shao Dazhen, Yu Zhixue, and Yan Quan, providing visitors a rare opportunity to engage with the country's vibrant ink art traditions. The exhibition runs through mid-July.

"This museum isn't just a display space—it's a living laboratory where art meets community," says Zhang Kunshan, a former director of the China Calligraphers Association and the museum's artistic director. Over the past year, the museum has hosted over 3,000 works in major exhibitions, including solo shows by artists like Xiao Yingmei and Yang Diansheng, who shared their insights through public lectures and workshops.
