Guangdong's top officials invite media to see white dolphins and watch 15th National Games

"Guangdong has many delicious foods and beautiful scenery," said Huang Kunming, Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, who invited the media to visit Guangdong to taste the province's cuisine and enjoy the scenery when answering questions from the South China Morning Post's reporter at the open day event of the Guangdong delegation in Beijing on March 6 during China's ongoing third session of the 14th National People's Congress.

The 15th National Games of China, the 12th National Paralympic Games and the 9th National Special Olympics will be co-hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao in November this year. It is the first grand sports event to be jointly hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

"We designed the mascots 'Xi Yangyang' and 'Le Rongrong' based on the Chinese white dolphins. They are very cute and popular." In response to the questions from Channel News Asia's reporter, Guangdong Governor Wang Weizhong also invited reporters to watch the 15th National Games of China and to visit the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The reporters are welcome to visit the Pearl River Estuary, Leizhou Bay and other places in Guangdong, to see the white dolphins, feel the rapid changes in Guangdong, and experience the unique charm of the vibrant Greater Bay Area.
