Vietnam-China experts explore rural revitalization cooperation in Guangdong

Recently, a delegation of experts from Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Vietnam National University of Agriculture visited Guangdong at the invitation of the College of International Development and Global Agriculture (CIDGA) at China Agricultural University.

From October 14 to 17, the delegation visited Yingde City, where Chinese and Vietnamese experts discussed and learned about local approaches to rural revitalization, including rural tourism, agricultural product processing, ecological conservation and technology-enabled development.

On October 17, CIDGA hosted the High-Level Policy Dialogue on Rural Revitalization and Sustainable Development in China and Vietnam in Meizizhai, Longhua Village, Hengshitang Town. Participants exchanged views on rural governance, agricultural digitalization, industrial chain development and entrepreneurship training for rural talent, exploring opportunities for further cooperation.

Building on the cooperation platform jointly established by China Agricultural University and the Vietnam National University of Agriculture, the two sides will continue to bring together governments, universities, businesses and rural communities to deepen practical cooperation and support the sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas in both countries.

On October 18, the delegation arrived in Guangzhou and visited the former site of the Vietnam Youth Revolutionary Comrades' Association and the Vietnam Youth Political Training Class, learning about Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary activities in the city.

Dr. Cao Duc Phat, a delegation member and former Minister of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam, told South: "I have visited this site before, but this time I had more time to experience and gain a deeper understanding of Uncle Ho's revolutionary activities in Guangzhou."

He thanked the Chinese side for carefully restoring and maintaining the historic site, saying the rich collection of historical materials on display was of great significance to Vietnam and vividly reflected the deep revolutionary friendship between the two countries and their ruling parties.

"I hope this historic site will continue to promote friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and China in the years to come," he said.
