The highly anticipated 2025 Zhaoqing Temple Fair, a celebration of Cantonese folk culture, will kick off from February 8 to 12.

Set in the Baogong Cultural Park, the main venue of this year's temple fair is characterized by the culture of the Song dynasty (960-1279). With carefully created iconic landscapes such as revolving scenic lanterns and lantern corridors, the temple fair creates a stronger festive atmosphere and provides an immersive cultural experience for visitors.

During the temple fair, a variety of activities will be staged, including a parade to showcase and perform intangible cultural heritage, elegant gatherings featuring Song culture, and lantern riddle guessing competitions.

Among these festivities, the highly anticipated parade will be held on the afternoon of February 9 (Sunday). There are nearly 1,300 exhibitors and performers, who will be divided into 25 groups. The parade team will start from the Baogong Cultural Park, walk through the city's main streets along the route, and finally reach the Yuejiang Tower. The whole route is 4.4 kilometers long, and the walking time is about 120 minutes.

During the event, citizens and tourists along the route can not only enjoy the intangible cultural heritage exhibitions and performances but also participate in them to have an immersive experience of the profound Zhaoqing culture.
