Guangzhou's Taikoo Li Julong Wan will stage a major street culture and fashion event over the May Day holiday in partnership with global youth culture platform Hypebeast, marking the first time several of Hypebeast's signature properties land in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The collaboration brings three Hypebeast-branded events to the Liwan District waterfront. The "Hypebeast Flea" market, a traveling pop-up of designer brands, limited releases and live music, runs from May 1 to 5 and May 9 to 10. Organizers say this will be the longest and largest edition of the market ever staged worldwide.
"Hypedrive," a car culture event that originated in New York, makes its Asian debut across the weekends of May 16–17 and 23–24. A mini interactive "Hypegolf" installation, previously unseen in China, will also open during the latter half of the month.
Set along the Pearl River waterfront in the Bai'etan area, the program covers retail, art exhibitions, music performances and interactive experiences.
Taikoo Li Julong Wan is offering a tiered package of shopping incentives throughout the event period, including brand discounts, spending-based vouchers, and membership upgrades.
Located at the confluence of three branches of the Pearl River, Taikoo Li Julong Wan is a commercial and public space development that draws on Liwan District's cultural heritage. The Hypebeast partnership is intended to position the area as a destination for international youth fashion and consumer culture, according to the organizers.
