As hail warnings have been issued in several parts of the province, authorities advise residents to take the following precautions:
1. Stay indoors during a hailstorm. Close all windows and remove any objects from windowsills or balconies. Avoid standing near windows or skylights.
2. If driving during a hailstorm, slow down and drive steadily. Avoid stopping under trees or power lines. Choose a safe place to pull over.
3. If caught outdoors, seek immediate shelter under a solid structure. If no shelter is available, crouch down with your back to the wind, protect your head and torso with your arms or jacket, and stay away from high-voltage power lines.
