Guangdong’s aviation network is set to expand with new direct flights connecting Guangzhou and Shenzhen to Indonesia’s capital Jakarta, alongside a new Central Asia route linking Guangzhou with Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent, with the expansion rolling out between late May and mid-June 2026.
Starting June 16, Spring Airlines will launch a Guangzhou-Jakarta route operating three times weekly. Flight 9C7199 departs Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 16:05, arriving in Jakarta at 21:10 (local time). The return flight departs the same evening and arrives in Guangzhou at 04:00 the following day.
A second Jakarta route will begin on June 17 from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, operating twice weekly. The outbound flight departs at 14:10 and arrives at 18:20, with the return flight leaving Jakarta at 19:20 (local time).
In Central Asia, Uzbekistan Airways will start a weekly Tashkent-Guangzhou service on May 27, using Boeing 787-8 aircraft. The route adds to the carrier’s existing China network, which already includes services to Beijing and Shenzhen.
