Guangdong is forecast to have a warm and sunny New Year's holiday, according to the Guangdong Meteorological Observatory.
As temperatures continue to rise, lows are expected to range between 9 and 13 degrees Celsius on December 30 in northern Guangdong, 16 to 18 degrees Celsius in the southern coastal areas, and 13 to 16 degrees Celsius in the remaining areas. The entire province will have cloudy skies with periods of sunshine.

On December 31, most of the province will be partly sunny to cloudy. Lows are predicted to fluctuate between 10 and 14 degrees Celsius in northern Guangdong, 16 to 19 degrees Celsius in western Guangdong, and 14 to 17 degrees Celsius in the remaining areas.
A weak cold wave is likely to hit the province starting from the first day of 2024, bringing a slight drop in temperature. Shaoguan and Qingyuan will be cloudy to overcast with scattered light rain. Other regions will have cloudy skies.
On January 2, the entire province will experience cloudy skies with periods of overcast and scattered light rain.
