Recently, the Blue Book of Kangyang: Annual Report on the Development of Health and Wellness Industry of China (2024-2025) was released, announcing the 2025 top 20 cities and top 100 counties in China for sustainable development capacity of the health and wellness industry. Xinxing County in Yunfu City has once again secured a place among the top 100 counties.
The Blue Book of Kangyang: Annual Report on the Development of Health and Wellness Industry of China has been published for seven times. Xinxing County has appeared in the rankings five times and has held the top spot in Guangdong Province for three consecutive years since 2021.
With a forest coverage rate of 68.38%, Xinxing has been recognized as one of China's "natural oxygen bars". It also boasts a daily hot spring water reserve of 12,000 cubic meters, featuring a unique hydrosulfide-rich spring in Guangdong Province.
In recent years, Xinxing County has actively promoted an integrated development model of tourism and wellness. Landmark tourism and wellness projects such as Liuzu's (Six Ancestors') Hometown Tourist Resort (六祖故里旅游度假区), Freely Hover Golden Shuitai Hot Spring Town (翔顺金水台温泉特色小镇), Yuetianxia Ecological Resort (悦天下生态度假区), Tianlu Mountain Tourist Resort (天露山旅游度假区), Freely Hover Xiangwo Mountain Ecological Park (象窝山生态园), and Chanyu Town (禅域小镇) have made Xinxing a top destination for wellness tourism.
