The South Zhaoqing Channel was launched on December 18 in Zhaoqing in collaboration with the Nanfang Media Group (Nanfang Daily), enabling the city to better reach the global stage and allowing the world to better understand Zhaoqing.
Presenting three "city name cards" of Zhaoqing to the world
Zhaoqing has been actively advancing key initiatives in industrial development, urban-rural development, and cultural development in recent years, making the city known for its culture, natural beauty, and vitality, and achieving new breakthroughs in high-quality development.
At the launch ceremony, Liu Haibin, Head of the Zhaoqing Publicity Department, stated that Zhaoqing will use this collaboration as an opportunity to explore its rich resources in history, culture, ecological landscapes, and industrial development, producing more high-quality content that resonates with and appeals to international audiences.
Building an international image IP for Zhaoqing
Following its launch, the South Zhaoqing Channel will showcase the compelling stories of Zhaoqing's vibrant economic and social development and connecting the city with global markets through international communication. It will also focus on Zhaoqing's cultural tourism, creating a stronger city IP characterized by its "mountains, lakes, city, and rivers."
Hou Xiaojun, Vice President of the Nanfang Media Group (Nanfang Daily), noted that South is committed to becoming Guangdong's flagship media for international communication, the main platform for Guangdong's external communication, and the primary source of information about Guangdong. The Nanfang Media Group will coordinate external publicity resources across the province as part of its strategy to build its international communication network, effectively telling the stories of Guangdong, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and China to the world.
