Ahead of the Songshan Lake Developer Conference 2026 (SDC 2026), a city exploration group made up of domestic and overseas social media influencers and Huawei community KOLs took part in a tour of Songshan Lake in Dongguan. The group visited key innovation landmarks and cultural spots to gain deep insight into the region's technological strengths, industrial ecosystem, and cultural landscape.

The first day's itinerary focused on the HarmonyOS ecosystem. The group toured the Huawei Sports and Health Science Laboratory. Built with an investment of over 200 million yuan, the research hub specialized in smart wearables and human body health data research, and its findings were widely applied in public health and professional fitness training.

Songshan Lake Developer Village housed more than 300 enterprises supporting the HarmonyOS ecosystem. The group also toured iCar Guard, a HarmonyOS ecosystem partner, to learn about its practical products for smart vehicle services and intelligent interaction, and witnessed how technology addressed pressing public concerns.
Valeriia Budanova, an overseas influencer, commented: "Before coming here, I never imagined technology could integrate into every aspect of life in such an all-round and imperceptible way."

The tour also highlighted Songshan Lake's major scientific facilities. The China Spallation Neutron Source stood out as a key stop on the itinerary. Known as a "super microscope," it is China's first and the world's fourth pulsed spallation neutron source. It has completed over 2,500 research projects and provided strong support for a wide range of sci-tech breakthroughs.

Drawing on the area's innovation resources, Great Bay University implements a dual-mentor system combining academic supervision with industry mentorship. Its computing power center, distinctive campus landscape, and industry-education integration training model left many visitors exclaiming that they "wished they could go to college all over again."

During the trip, the group also took a helicopter tour for a bird's-eye view of Songshan Lake's stunning scenery. In the Uland Cultural and Artistic District, they visited a diverse range of venues, including China's first all-round ecological mathematics museum and an AI experience hall. The blend of technology, art, and culture offered visitors a brand-new perspective on Dongguan.

Chinese and foreign influencers captured their experiences through videos and photos, sharing Songshan Lake's stories with global audiences. Their works showcased the city's robust innovation ecosystem, inclusive development vibe, and rich cultural charm.
