The new logo for Luhe (Chinese: 陆河), a mountainous county in Shanwei, Guangdong province, was officially unveiled and the county theme song was played during the 2025 Luhe Lantern Festival Music Gala, which was successfully held at CREC Park on the evening of February 11.
What creative ideas lie behind this well-designed logo? Inspired by the concept of "Hakka New City, Vibrant Luhe," the logo takes the two Chinese characters "陆河" from the calligraphy of Lai Shaoqi (赖少其), the inscription on the county's founding monument. Natural elements from the Rongjiang and Luohe rivers are also masterfully blended into it, forming a dynamic infinity symbol, "∞." This logo merges historical heritage with modern spirit, highlighting the rich Hakka cultural roots of the region.
The promotional video for the Luhe brand showcases the Luhe spirit, which includes the values of "dedication, pioneering, openness, and striving for excellence," as well as Luhe culture, emphasizing the Luhe River as the source of three rivers and that people here attach great importance to education, farming and learning. The video depicts a progressive city that integrates production and urban development, promoting and featuring boundless vitality, inclusiveness, openness, and win-win cooperation.
Looking ahead, Luhe will continue to host cultural events such as public movie screenings and lawn music festivals, aiming to create a fresh city image and boost vitality by attracting both domestic and international investors, professionals, and tourists to live, work, invest, and travel in Luhe.
