2025 GBA Time-honored Brands Expo to showcase Lingnan cultural heritage this September

The 2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Time-honored Brands (Culture) Expo is scheduled to be held from September 12 to 14 in Guangzhou, showcasing Guangzhou Restaurant, Tao Tao Ju and other popular brands, and products with Lingnan-style heritage to global buyers, according to a media briefing by the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province on June 5. 

Comprehensive platform for cultural heritage

The event will cover an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters, expecting to attract over 400 exhibitors, including enterprises from Hong Kong and Macao, and to draw 100,000 visitors. The expo features five zones: the GBA theme area, national time-honored brands area, innovation display area, interactive experience zone, and specialty zones.

The GBA theme area will highlight the historical depth and cultural features of time-honored brands in the region, with a 1,500-square-meter Guangdong zone showcasing 110 representative enterprises.

The national time-honored brands comprehensive area gathers renowned brands from across China, demonstrating cross-regional cultural integration.

The innovation display area focuses on time-honored brands' innovations in products, technology, and business models, including digital transformation cases such as smart retail and metaverse marketing applications.

The interactive experience zone offers visitors a chance to engage with traditional crafts, cultural lectures, and workshops, including traditional handicraft demonstrations and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) culture sharing sessions.

Specialty zones will include selections of Guangdong gifts and cultural and creative product areas, with a consumer promotion zone providing one-stop shopping for festival gifts and souvenirs. A live e-commerce zone will collaborate with platforms like Douyin and Taobao to conduct live-streaming sales events.

Events to empower brand development

Through diverse displays, rich activities, and in-depth exchanges, the expo aims to ignite the innovative vitality of time-honored brands, enhance their market competitiveness, and promote trade and collaborative development in the GBA.

During the expo, a series of activities will take place, including the GBA Time-honored Brands Development Summit Forum, where industry experts and business leaders will discuss revitalizing Guangdong's time-honored brands.

The Top Ten Time-honored Brands Cases will be released to highlight innovation benchmarks, while a selection of Guangdong gifts will promote regional specialties, boosting cultural and tourism consumption.

A time-honored brand cultural and creative products innovation competition will also be held to encourage creative designs, merging traditional culture with modern aesthetics. The "Time-honored Brands + New Media" Live Streaming Sales Festival will leverage digital tools to expand sales channels and comprehensively empower brand development.
