The Consulate General of Malaysia in Guangzhou held an event for the Malaysian community to celebrate Eid al-Fitr on April 12.
Suraya Pauzi, the Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou, welcomed local Malaysians to the event, most of whom are working and studying in Guangzhou and other cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Several prominent Malaysians visiting Guangzhou for trade and investment were also present at the event, including Selangor State Investment Councillor Ng Sze Han and Kedah State Investment Councillor Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah.
"Malaysia and China trade ties continue to strengthen in the face of the latest global developments. In this regard, we are also looking forward to the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Malaysia this week," noted Pauzi.
