The original stage production of Matilda The Musical will return to Shenzhen from May 1 to June 21, bringing its China tour back to the city following its previous run in 2023.

Based on Roald Dahl's classic novel, the musical tells the story of a gifted young girl who uses her intelligence, courage, and imagination to challenge injustice and reshape her fate.

Adapted by playwright Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, the production features energetic choreography and immersive staging. Since its West End debut in London in 2011, it has toured worldwide, attracting more than 12 million spectators and winning multiple major honors, including the Olivier Awards and the Tony Awards.
