Songfeng Road in Foshan: hotspot street for Chinese New Year goods

Couplets for the Chinese New Year, red "Fu" characters, red lanterns, and paper cuttings… these traditional Chinese New Year decorations are all on display along Songfeng Road in Chancheng District, Foshan.

As the Chinese New Year approaches, this 500-meter-long old street has donned its festive attire. With cheerful red hues filling the scene, it has become a unique feature of the area. All the items represent good luck and fortune, including hand-written couplets, paper-cut window decorations, plush lanterns, and ornaments in Chinese zodiac signs.

On social media platforms like Xiaohongshu (rednote), the festive atmosphere along Songfeng Road is in full swing. For trendy young people, it's also a must-visit spot for Chinese New Year photos. Many netizens have posted that "for photos, such streets with New Year atmosphere are much more worthy than photo studios!"
