Supported by the provincial welfare lottery fund, the Demonstration Project on Capacity Enhancement and Collaborative Development for Social Organizations in the GBA was officially launched at the end of 2024. Guided by the welfare lottery's mission of "supporting the elderly, assisting persons with disabilities, rescuing orphans, and relieving the distressed," Nansha organized six capacity-building and field research sessions for leaders and key staff of provincial social organizations.
The project has benefited over 1,800 participants and engaged more than 60 experts from Hong Kong, Macao, and the mainland, fostering deep cooperation and contributing to the formulation of GBA and national social service standards.
At the meeting, the Greater Bay Area Social Service Integration and Development Joint Network was officially established, along with the launch of the Three-Year, Ten-Actions Plan (2025–2028). The plan covers key areas including policy research, cross-border mechanism alignment, child and elderly care, healthcare, and emergency response — signaling new momentum for integrated social service development across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
