The China-Vietnam media delegation visited WeRide and EHang in Guangzhou on December 28, marveling at the city's advanced technologies in autonomous vehicles and eVTOLs (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing aircraft).
The delegation's first stop was at WeRide to experience autonomous vehicles.
This was the first time Lê Gia Hoàng, a director from the Current Affairs Department of Vietnam Television, experienced autonomous driving.

He felt that the car ran very smoothly, followed its route with great accuracy, and could automatically adjust its speed according to road conditions while adhering to the pre-programmed route. "It was a fantastic and fascinating experience for me!" he remarked.

At the same time, Lê Gia Hoàng also highly appreciated the vehicle's safety features. During the autonomous driving experience, he attempted to unbuckle his seatbelt and found that the vehicle immediately issued a warning alert. He considered this an intelligent design that effectively ensures user safety.
Lê Gia Hoàng expressed hope that Vietnam and China can pursue cooperation in autonomous driving in the future.

Apart from unmanned ground transport, air transport is also becoming smarter here in Guangzhou. Next, the delegation went to EHang to explore its famous eVTOLs.
Nguyễn Hoài Đảm, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and editor at Vietnam Television, stated that as a media professional, he had already read about eVTOLs, but today was the first time he had actually seen them and gained a deeper understanding.

Upon visiting EHang to explore eVTOLs firsthand and hear an introduction about them, he was impressed by China's highly advanced eVTOL technology, noting that China is one of the world's leading countries in this field.
Nguyễn Hoài Đảm also marveled at the wide range of applications for eVTOLs, spanning from agriculture and disaster prevention to tourism development and smart city governance. He emphasized that eVTOLs have the potential to elevate development levels in these areas and hold tremendous promise for the future.
