Several well-preserved dinosaur egg fossils have been discovered in Haizhu District, Guangzhou, marking a rare find within the city's main urban area.

The fossils were first reported by a resident and were later preliminarily identified by experts as dinosaur egg fossils based on their clearly visible features. According to experts, the fossils are exceptionally well preserved and have significant scientific and educational value.

The fossils have been transferred to the city's geological survey institute for safekeeping. Researchers will conduct scientific studies, including age dating and 3D scanning, and the fossils may later be exhibited for public education.
Geological studies show that during the Late Cretaceous, the Pearl River Delta was characterized by warm, humid fluvial-lacustrine environments, creating suitable habitats for dinosaurs and favorable conditions for fossil formation and preservation.
