Guangdong has claimed top honours at the 15th National Games' orienteering and radio direction events for the masses, finishing with a dominant four gold medals after the final events wrapped up on May 11 in Maoming.

The closing day featured long-distance individual races in both the men's and women's team categories, as well as the 144MHz standard distance events in radio direction finding. Guangdong secured two more golds on the final day, adding to their earlier victories in the men's and women's relay races.

In the women's orienteering team category, Guangdong clinched gold with consistent top performances across all three events—short, middle, and long-distance—despite finishing third in the long-distance race. Meanwhile, Shanghai captured the men's team gold with a first-place finish in the long-distance event, combined with strong results in the earlier races.

Guangdong also triumphed in the men's radio direction finding team event, leading three of the four races and placing eighth in the remaining one—enough to top the overall rankings. Shandong took gold in the women's radio direction finding event with steady finishes across all races.
