"Trade Bridge" reaches Jiangmen, connecting Jiangmen manufacturing with global buyers

On March 6, following a high-tech showcase in Zhuhai, the momentum of the "Trade Bridge-China Industrial Sourcing Trip," organized by the China Foreign Trade Centre and the "Guangdong Goods Global Reach" campaign, shifted to the industrial powerhouse of Jiangmen.

More than 20 global buyers gathered to forge direct connections with over 70 premium local suppliers. The strategic alignment marks a transition from traditional showroom browsing to "factory-direct" integration, focusing on Jiangmen's dominant sectors: motorcycles, stainless steel, and smart home appliances.

Buyer representatives split into three specialized routes, entering the production workshops of industry leaders such as Dachangjiang (Haojue) and Belston. This allowed buyers to witness the R&D and assembly processes firsthand, effectively bringing orders right into the factory.

Jiangmen's industrial foundations are formidable; its smart appliance bases in Pengjiang and Jianghai saw an output exceeding 40 billion RMB in 2025, while its motorcycle exports account for a staggering 25% of China's national total.

The impact of this physical proximity was reflected in the feedback from international participants. Natalie Chan, Director of Hong Kong's Pure Passion International Limited, noted a significant evolution in Guangdong goods, praising the marked improvements in material quality and design.

"It's a very useful visit for our business," Chan remarked, adding that the factory setups demonstrate a commitment to long-term partnerships rather than short-term gains.

Similarly, Max from Jiangmen Yida Metal Products, a participating supplier and also an "old friend" of the Canton Fair with 20 years of export experience to the U.S. and Europe, highlighted the vast opportunities he saw for the Indian and international markets. "Through this matchmaking, we are planning to go worldwide and connect deeply with buyers," he noted, emphasizing the unique environment for growth found in Guangdong.

For local exhibitors, the event served as a vital precursor to the upcoming Canton Fair, offering a head start on market trends and client acquisition. Ken Luk, Marketing Manager of Kennede Electronics Mfg. Co., Ltd., described the interaction as a "precious opportunity" to discuss market dynamics and secure orders.

Luk shared a specific success story regarding a South Korean buyer looking to develop a specialized "parent-child interactive" healthy lighting product. "The buyer needed a factory with the R&D strength to turn a concept into reality," Luk explained. "By combining our expertise in smart, healthy lighting with their creative needs, we have the confidence to push this project forward." He attributed the global appeal of Guangdong goods to their cutting-edge design and quality, which he considers to be the benchmark for the rest of the country.
