The Global Cross-border Trade Industrial Cluster has recently been officially launched in Guangzhou's Nansha District, accompanied by the global release of a promotional video for the clusterproject released to mark the start of work.
The district's port and trade policies have already drawn e-commerce companies including SHEIN, Pinduoduo, Douyin and AliExpress, along with Asia-Pacific distribution centers for international brands such as Mead Johnson and Danone.
Having brought these companies together in one place, Nansha now aims to connect them into a single industry ecosystem—a shift described as going from "spatial agglomeration" to "ecosystem-based clustering." The goal, the district says, is to build a cluster of world-class standing in cross-border trade.
