Guangdong Province will convene a provincial high-quality development conference in Guangzhou on February 24, focusing on the coordinated development of manufacturing and service industries.
The event will bring together government officials, industry experts, and entrepreneurs to explore pathways for deeper integration between the two sectors.

The event will feature a plenary session in the morning, followed by parallel sessions in the afternoon covering topics including industrial integration and policy innovation, technology-enabled industrial convergence, financial innovation empowering sector integration, smart manufacturing and industrial internet, digital economy and new trade formats, and county-level industrial integration.
A white paper on the coordinated development of manufacturing and service industries in Guangdong will be released during the conference. Provincial authorities will also provide interpretations of supportive policies promoting synergy between the two sectors.
As a manufacturing powerhouse and service industry leader in China, Guangdong has generated over 19 trillion yuan in operating revenue by industrial enterprises above designated size in 2025, ranking first nationwide. The added value of high-tech manufacturing accounted for 34.7 percent of the province's industrial sector.
The service sector added about 8.5 trillion yuan in value in 2025, representing 58.3 percent of Guangdong's GDP, maintaining its top position in China for 41 consecutive years.
