Route Information

The Guangzhou South Railway Station Air and Rail Transport bus route operates eight round trips daily, with service times from 11:30 to 23:15.

Air-rail service area

The air-rail service area is located at the passenger service counter near the West Gate of the arrival level at Guangzhou South Railway Station. Currently, it operates from 08:00 to 20:00. The service point offers convenient services such as flight information inquiries, domestic and international ticket purchases, China Southern Airlines value-added services, Tongcheng Travel ticket benefits, easy boarding VIP services, railway business class seats, and express boarding, providing passengers with one-stop customized "air-rail + travel" services.

Distinguishing between stations

Please note that Guangzhou South Railway Station, Guangzhou North Railway Station, Guangzhou East Railway Station, Guangzhou Railway Station, and Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station are different stations located in different geographical areas. When purchasing tickets, passengers should pay attention to distinguishing between these stations to ensure they arrive at the correct station for departure.

Arrival time recommendation

Entering the station for boarding involves processes such as ticket inspection, security check, and locating the boarding gate, which takes time. During the Spring Festival travel rush, passengers should arrive at the station at least 35 minutes before departure. After arriving, please take the elevator to the third-floor waiting area. If there are less than 15 minutes before departure, passengers can use the "express passenger channel" for quick entry. To avoid congestion, it is recommended to arrive well in advance.

Boarding gate information

The boarding gates at Guangzhou South Railway Station are divided into three-floor Area A, three-floor Area B, and the first-floor transfer area. Passengers boarding regularly scheduled trains can use the boarding gates in Area A or Area B on the third floor (e.g., Gate A8 or Gate B8), which correspond to different carriage positions but both lead to the platform for boarding. The boarding gates in the first-floor transfer area are numbered (e.g., "Gate 8") and are for passengers transferring to other high-speed trains after arriving at Guangzhou South Railway Station.

Night high-speed rail travel tips

During the Spring Festival travel rush, Guangzhou South Railway Station plans to operate 103.5 additional round-trip night high-speed rail trains on peak days. Passengers with night high-speed rail tickets should pay attention to the following:

Clarify travel time: Ticket purchase and boarding are based on a 24-hour system. Once the day passes 24:00, it enters the next day. For example, if you have a ticket for 01:07 on January 27th, you should arrive at Guangzhou South Railway Station on the evening of January 26th (the previous day) to wait for boarding.

Overnight operations: During the operation of night high-speed trains, all facilities at Guangzhou South Railway Station will provide overnight services, ensuring sufficient food and hot water supplies for passengers. At the same time, the station will actively apply to local transportation departments to coordinate the extension of operating hours for connecting transportation modes such as subways and buses to serve passengers' "last mile" of travel.
