Liu Jiaxi, professionally known as Lu Mingshan, has officially joined IP Guangdong to share her imaginative ideas and passion for art. An executive council member of the Guangdong Cartoonists Association, she is an illustrator whose work draws on traditional Chinese aesthetics.

Lu has been passionate about drawing since childhood. Although she studied medicine, she never stopped drawing. Years of dedicated practice have helped her develop her own distinctive style. She enjoys reading short stories and drawing inspiration from them, especially ancient Chinese myths. Animal photography is another rich source of inspiration.

Lu gained widespread online attention for a series of illustrations that reimagined birds as boy attendants and young women in period dress. In her imagination, a flock of sparrows craning their necks to gaze into the distance can become a lively and endearing group of boy attendants and girls in traditional Chinese dress. The series proved highly popular online.

For Lu, painting is not only a form of expression but also a way of communicating with her audience. After joining IP Guangdong, she looks forward to using her art to present a vibrant image of Guangdong to audiences around the world.
