As anticipation builds, mascots for the 15th National Games and the National Special Olympic Games—"Xiyangyang" and "Lerongrong"—have gained widespread popularity nationwide. Their overwhelming cuteness has successfully won the affection of people across the country, becoming a beloved symbol of the upcoming sports events.

From the streets and alleys to competition venues, and from urban landmarks to cultural and creative products, every corner of Guangdong hides the cute figures of "Xiyangyang" and "Lerongrong", with a passionate sports vibe leaping everywhere.

"Xiyangyang" and "Lerongrong" were created by the team led by Liu Pingyun, who was also the chief designer behind the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics mascot, Bing Dwen Dwen. The design of these two mascots is based on the Chinese white dolphin, a unique species that best represents the Greater Bay Area, and their names symbolize joy, harmony, and unity.
