Russian photographer Evgeny Trofimov prefers to identify himself as a traveler. He takes more than 40 flights a year, and traveling has long become his way of life.
Among his numerous travel destinations, Guangdong stands out as exceptionally unique. He first visited Guangdong in 2010 and has felt an inseparable bond with the province ever since.
In his eyes, Guangdong is dynamic and fast-developing, with highly convenient daily transport. It also serves as a vital transportation hub linking China, Asia, and the rest of the globe. He holds a particular fondness for Shenzhen, counting it among his favorite cities.
Through his lens, he has watched Shenzhen grow and come to understand the Greater Bay Area as a whole. He says the creative process has deepened his thinking about the region's development, where cities complement and drive one another forward in a vibrant, integrated cluster.
Joining IP Guangdong has brought Evgeny even closer to the province. Moving forward, he plans to invite more overseas travelers and photographers to experience Guangdong for themselves. By drawing on their outsider perspective as creators, they will show the world a Guangdong that is authentic, diverse, and endlessly charming.
