Anime-style falls, pop-out outfit transitions, 3D map transitions and the "pushpin" effect are among the creative visual effects now commonplace across major short-video platforms. Most can be traced back to viral videos by the same creator, Taoagou, known for inventive visual effects.
Now, Taoagou has officially joined IP GUANGDONG to share Guangdong's creativity with the world.
Taoagou, a leading creator in China's creative short-video scene, has a core creative team of just four people. With an exceptional ability to bring ideas to life and a refined visual sensibility, the team has amassed a combined following of more than 10 million across its network of social media accounts. Many of its inventive videos have also inspired waves of imitations overseas.
The team explained that it routinely saves every fleeting spark of inspiration in an ideas bank and never rushes to produce content simply to capitalize on the initial buzz. Many ideas are still underdeveloped when they first emerge, so the team sets them aside for a few months and returns to turn them into finished videos once it has a clearer grasp of tone and visual presentation. The team added that, after releasing a new visual effect, it continues to explore its expressive possibilities through a succession of related videos in the same series, extending the life of a good idea.
As one of China's top short-video creators, Taoagou has partnered with numerous well-known brands to produce a substantial body of high-quality sponsored content. The team, however, has always maintained a clear sense of its identity, defining itself first and foremost as creators of imaginative content, rather than influencers dependent on brand sponsorships. It emphasized that creativity has always been the foundation of its work.
Through IP GUANGDONG, Taoagou will represent Guangdong in sharing more of the province's creativity and bright ideas with the world. The team will bring a fresh, youthful voice to Guangdong's international communications, presenting global audiences with a multifaceted, diverse and vibrant image of the province.
