On the afternoon of January 9, at a press conference held by the Information Office of Guangdong Provincial People's Government, it was announced that Guangzhou's Bai'etan Spring Festival Fireworks Display, which will last 45 minutes, will take place on the evening of January 29, 2025 (Chinese New Year's Day).

During the Spring Festival holiday, Guangzhou will offer 2,000 cultural and tourism activities, catering to people's yearning for a wonderful New Year experience.
According to the Guangzhou Regional Tourism Attractions Association, Guangzhou's cultural tourism attractions have carefully planned cultural and tourism activities during the Spring Festival, offering visitors brand-new experiences and inviting them to celebrate the new year in Guangzhou and admire flowers in the Flower City.
Chimelong Safari Park's brand-new Snake House will soon open to the public, featuring a newly upgraded layout and a public exhibition of rare snake species. Additionally, the park will introduce newly upgraded snake-themed performances, snake float parades, and a Swan Lake bird performance. Guangzhou SUNAC Land's large-scale Chinese-style live-action show, "Dream of Lingnan," will begin on New Year's Day. Grandview Planet's Tang Dynasty Lantern Festival at Grandview Mall will run from January 1st, 2025, to March 15th, using flowers and lanterns to recreate the prosperous scenery of the Tang Dynasty. Furthermore, the Pearl River cruise activities are equally noteworthy. Tianzi Pier offers a New Year's Eve dinner during the Spring Festival, immersing tourists in a dietary culture feast over 2,000 years ago.
During the Spring Festival, visitors can also take photos of the blooming plum and cherry blossoms in Conghua Liuxi River and Xitou Village. The Tulip Show at Baiyun Mountain's Yuntai Garden will usher in the new year, while the Peach Blossom Valley (桃花涧) will also see a colourful display of peach and plum blossoms. Moreover, the peach blossoms at Lianhua Mountain (莲花山) are in full bloom, and Yuexiu Park's 2025 Guangzhou Spring Festival Lantern Show will provide residents and tourists with a strong festive atmosphere through lantern exhibitions, horticultural displays, public performances, and lantern riddle contests. Habitat Creek (世间香境七溪地) in Huadu District has prepared cherry blossom-themed DIY activities and cherry blossom markets for visitors, allowing them to feel the embrace of spring amidst romantic cherry blossoms.
