15 policies and measures to support SMEs announced on the sixth Shenzhen Entrepreneurs' Day!

Shenzhen witnessed its sixth Entrepreneurs' Day on November 1. Shenzhen held a policy promotion meeting on optimizing the business environment for the first time, where multiple departments jointly released 15 policies and measures to serve the high-quality development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). 

The 15 policies and measures include increasing the promotion and application of major technical equipment such as robots and medical devices, assisting AI companies in obtaining more low-cost computing power services, and supporting enterprises' international layout.

Shenzhen leads the nation in terms of the number of businesses and the rate of entrepreneurship.

As of the first three quarters of this year, it has over 4.34 million commercial entities, including 2.65 million enterprises. Of them, ten are Fortune Global 500 companies, 27 are China Fortune 500 companies, over 570 are domestic and overseas listed companies, and 24,000 are high-tech enterprises.

Shenzhen introduced its first Entrepreneurs' Day on Nov. 1, 2019, as an effort to boost its entrepreneurial spirit and create a favorable entrepreneurial environment, becoming the first city in the country to do so.
