Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Guoqing said on Friday that China stands ready to work with all parties to help more small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) thrive and grow.
Zhang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks in a speech delivered at the opening ceremony of the 32nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Small and Medium Enterprises Ministerial Meeting held in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province.
China is enhancing its policy support for SMEs and strengthening practical cooperation with APEC economies to jointly boost the high-quality development of SMEs, Zhang said.
China stands ready to work with all parties to implement the four major global initiatives, foster a fair and just market environment, build an inclusive and shared service system, and contribute to the building of an open, dynamic, resilient and peaceful Asia-Pacific community.
During his stay in Guangdong, Zhang also attended the opening ceremony of the 21st China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair and delivered a speech. He encouraged SMEs to stay focused on their core businesses, build key technological capabilities, develop quality brands, and leverage their comparative advantages to pursue specialized and sophisticated growth.
