On May 18, the 2025 China Dragon Boat Open (Hechuan, Chongqing) concluded with the Jiujiang Shuangzheng Women's Team from Foshan, Guangdong claiming overall first place, winning two events and placing third in another.

The competition featured men's and women's groups, with 12- and 22-person dragon boat races across four events: 100m, 200m, 500m sprints, and a 2000m pursuit. It drew 40 teams and over 900 participants from eight provinces. In the women's group, Jiujiang Shuangzheng took first in the 100m and 500m races, third in the 200m, and won overall with 24 points.
"Victory is the result of the team's consistent, collaborative training," said Song Yanbing, head coach of the Jiujiang Shuangzheng Team. She added that the team will intensify training for upcoming international competitions later this year.
