The upcoming dance drama Odes to Heroes released its theme song on November 27.
The drama draws on Yingge dance, a traditional folk dance originating from the Chaoshan region in Guangdong. Its theme song resonates with a poignant longing, reflecting the Chaoshan people's deep-rooted nostalgia for their homeland—a feeling amplified by the region's enduring connections to overseas Chinese communities.
The drama is scheduled to be staged at the Guangzhou Opera House from December 14 to 15, and will begin a nationwide tour in 2025.
