Recently, the Liberian-flagged vessel Valery, carrying 36,000 tons of naphtha, slowly berthed at the E2 Berth of the Eastern section of Maoming Port's Bohe New Port Area. This marks the first international vessel to berth at the terminal since it was approved for temporary operations.
As a national first-class open port and a key regional port, the Eastern section of Maoming Port's Bohe New Port Area was officially opened on January 3 this year. Designated as a petrochemical products operation zone, the Eastern section of Maoming Port's Bohe New Port Area enhances the channels for raw materials to enter and products to exit for Maoming's petrochemical industry.

The E2 Berth is a major liquid chemical terminal in Maoming Port's Bohe New Port Area. The successful berthing of the first foreign trade vessel at this temporarily opened berth will further enhance Maoming Port's international shipping service capabilities and provide a solid foundation for the development of the petrochemical industry in western Guangdong.
To ensure the smooth berthing of the first foreign vessel, multiple departments and units in Maoming collaborated closely to optimize facilitation measures such as "pre-inspection and fast clearance," achieving an efficient customs clearance model where the vessel can start operations upon arrival, unload without delay, and depart without obstacles. Professional and meticulous border inspection services provided comprehensive support for the foreign vessel's berthing.
The Bohe New Port Area mainly undertakes the transportation of cargoes such as crude oil, petrochemicals, coal, minerals, and LNG, guides the layout of port-side industries such as energy, power, and equipment manufacturing, and comprehensively develops modern service functions such as logistics, information, and integrated services. It will gradually evolve into an important large-scale and comprehensive port area in western Guangdong. Upon completion, the annual cargo throughput of the Bohe New Port Area will reach 150 million tons, and the total throughput of Maoming Port will reach 370 million tons.
