A medical college jointly established by the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) and King's College London (KCL) was officially approved by the Ministry of Education on November 11.
Located in SUSTech's campus, the united medical college will open undergraduate courses in its primary stage, mainly offering three majors including clinical medicine, biomedical science, and biomedical engineering.
Students of the college will enjoy dual status of SUSTech and KCL, and can get degree certificates, recognized by both China and the UK, of the two universities without going abroad.
In the 2021 QS World Young University Rankings (with no more than 50 years of establishment) , SUSTech ranked first in China.
The united medical college will explore the establishment of an international medical talent training system, cultivating outstanding medical talents with global visions and familiar with international rules for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
According to SUSTech, due to the pandemic, it will discuss with KCL admission times and steadily carry out school-running tasks.
