Perfect place to admire wisteria flowers in Shantou

In the springtime of Shantou, a flower quietly climbs the branches, unfolding its dreamy purple romance. That is the wisteria.

Baiji Ancheng in Tucheng Village, Lianshang Town, Chenghai District (澄海区莲上镇涂城村白鸡安埕), welcomes its most beautiful season of the year. Wisteria flowers bloom exuberantly in the courtyard, swaying gracefully in the breeze, and attracting crowds of locals and tourists to enjoy their purple charm.

Baiji Ancheng in Tucheng Village is named after a lifelike white rooster sculpted on the mountain wall to the left of the courtyard's entrance. As one of the large courtyards in Tucheng, it bears the marks of time.

The wisteria trees in the courtyard were planted by villagers nearly 20 years ago. They bloom every year from the Spring Equinox to the Qingming Festival.

Wisteria is a deciduous vine, with its blooming season from March to May. When in full bloom, the flowers resemble clusters of grapes. Upon closer inspection, they look like butterflies, as if about to flutter elegantly in the wind. Wisteria thrives in sunlight and is highly cold-resistant, making it ideal for climbing along trellises and walls, creating a natural flower corridor.

This spring, why not take a break from the hustle and bustle? Visit Tucheng's Baiji Ancheng with family and friends and immerse yourself in this romantic sea of wisteria flowers!
